While he retains the ability to fire his signature Hellfire Shotguns and wield his blades, Wirth Form represents the peak of this unnatural existence. It is not merely a magical illusion but a fundamental shift in his biological state, allowing him to phase through solid objects and ignore kinetic or energy-based attacks. The strain of maintaining this form is immense, which limits its duration, forcing Reyes to rely on it only when absolutely necessary.

In Their Own Story

The battlefield was a cacophony of laser fire and exploding debris, but Gabriel felt none of it. As the enemy squad pinned him down with suppressive fire that would have vaporized any normal man, he activated his ultimate. The world around him seemed to blur into shades of violet and grey as his physical body dissolved into smoke. Bullets passed harmlessly through his chest, unable to find purchase on a form that was no longer entirely there. With a low, guttural laugh echoing from the mist, he surged forward, phasing directly through a reinforced concrete wall to appear behind the enemy lines, solid and deadly once more.

Reader's Guide

Wraith Form is an ultimate ability that transforms Reaper into a ghostly state for approximately five seconds. During this time, he becomes completely immune to all damage from enemies, including environmental hazards like fire or explosions. While active, Reaper gains increased movement speed and the unique ability to phase through walls, barriers, and terrain. This allows him to bypass cover instantly, flank unsuspecting opponents, or escape tight corners where he is being focused down by multiple targets. Strategically, this tool is essential for survival when low on health or when caught in a dangerous position. It also enables aggressive plays, such as diving into the enemy backline through solid structures to eliminate high-value targets like support heroes before they can react. However, the ability has strict limitations. The duration is fixed and cannot be extended by damage taken. Furthermore, while phasing, Reaper cannot interact with certain objects or use some abilities that require physical contact, making timing crucial for maximum effectiveness.
